Redmi A7 and Redmi A7 Pro
If you are planning to buy a new smartphone on a tight budget, here’s some good news. Xiaomi has launched its new affordable smartphones Redmi A7 and Redmi A7 Pro in India. The biggest highlight is that even at a low price, you get a big display, solid battery, and smooth day-to-day performance. Let’s take a closer look at what these phones offer.
Talking about price and availability, the Redmi A7 comes at ₹10,999 for the 3GB + 64GB variant, while the Redmi A7 Pro is priced at ₹11,999 for the 4GB + 64GB model. The Redmi A7 is available in Black and Blue colors, whereas the Redmi A7 Pro comes in Black and Orange. Both smartphones will go on sale from April 24 via the official website, Flipkart, and offline retail stores.
On the display front, the Redmi A7 features a 6.88-inch HD+ screen, while the Redmi A7 Pro offers a slightly bigger 6.9-inch HD+ display. Both devices come with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, ensuring a smooth scrolling and viewing experience.
In terms of performance, both smartphones are powered by the UNISOC T7250 processor, which is suitable for daily tasks like browsing, social media, and light gaming. You get options of 3GB and 4GB RAM along with 64GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card.
For photography, both phones feature a 13MP primary rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture, along with a secondary sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls. The camera setup is decent for everyday use.
Battery is another strong point here. The Redmi A7 packs a 5200mAh battery, while the Redmi A7 Pro steps it up with a 6300mAh battery. Both devices support 15W fast charging, which should easily last you through a full day of usage.
Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IP52 rating for splash resistance, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
If your budget is around ₹12,000 and you are looking for a phone with a large display, long battery life, and reliable basic performance, the Redmi A7 and Redmi A7 Pro can be solid options. The standout part is that features like a 120Hz display and big battery at this price point make these phones quite appealing.
