Motorola Edge 70 Pro
Motorola has expanded its Edge series portfolio in India with the launch of the new Motorola Edge 70 Pro. The smartphone brings a mix of premium design, flagship-grade performance, and camera-centric features at a competitive price point.
The device sports a large 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, making it suitable for both multimedia consumption and smooth scrolling. The panel also supports 10-bit colour and offers up to 5200 nits peak brightness, along with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme SoC built on a 4nm process. It is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. The company has also included a 4600mm vapour chamber cooling system to manage thermals during intensive usage.
Highlights
On the imaging front, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro features a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP Sony LYTIA-710 primary sensor with OIS. This is accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus and macro capabilities, along with a multispectral sensor. For selfies and video calls, the phone offers a 50MP front-facing camera capable of recording up to 4K 60fps video.
The device comes with a sleek profile measuring just 6.99mm and features a premium metal frame. It also offers IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, along with MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification.
Motorola is also focusing on long-term software support, as the phone runs Android 16 out of the box and is promised to receive three major OS updates along with five years of security updates.
Despite its slim form factor, the smartphone packs a large 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery. It supports 90W TurboPower fast charging, ensuring quick top-ups.
Other notable features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, USB Type-C audio, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and support for multiple 5G bands.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is priced at Rs. 38,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, while the 12GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 41,999.
The smartphone will be available starting April 29th via Flipkart, Motorola’s official website, and offline retail stores. It comes in three PANTONE-inspired finishes: Lily White (marble), Tea (satin luxe), and Titan (fabric).
As part of launch offers, customers can avail a Rs. 2,000 discount using HDFC and ICICI Bank cards or opt for an equivalent exchange bonus.
