Vivo Y600 Pro
Vivo has officially confirmed the launch of its upcoming Y-series smartphone, the Vivo Y600 Pro, in China next week. The device will arrive as the successor to the Vivo Y500 Pro and is already generating attention for packing the largest battery ever seen on a Vivo smartphone. Alongside the launch date, the company has also revealed key details about its battery, display, and durability features.
The Vivo Y600 Pro is scheduled to launch in China on April 27, as confirmed by Vivo China’s Vice President Huang Tao via Weibo. The smartphone is expected to go on sale starting April 30.
The device will be offered in multiple colour options, including Floating Gold, Bright Moon Black, Vast Blue, and Starry Purple.
The Vivo Y600 Pro stands out primarily due to its massive battery and durability-focused design. It is confirmed to pack a 10,200mAh battery, making it the largest battery capacity ever featured on a Vivo smartphone. The phone supports 90W wired fast charging, which is claimed to fully charge the device in under 80 minutes.
Vivo notes that the device can deliver up to 16.7 days of standby time under light usage and over 12 hours under heavy usage scenarios. The battery uses second-generation semi-solid battery technology, designed to operate reliably even in temperatures up to 60°C. Additionally, AI-based power optimisation at the chip level is included, with long-term durability rated for up to six years of battery health.
On the software front, the smartphone will run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. It will feature a 1.5K resolution display with eye-care technology, along with an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
The device is also built for durability, featuring IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
More details about pricing and full specifications are expected to be revealed at the official launch event on April 27 in China.
