Vivo is reportedly working on its next-generation flagship lineup, the X500 series, which is expected to debut later this year. Recent leaks have hinted at multiple upgrades across display, camera, and performance. The lineup is likely to include standard, Pro, and Pro Max variants, with improvements aimed at both imaging and overall hardware capabilities.

According to information shared by a tipster on Weibo, the Vivo X500 series could be offered in multiple display sizes, including 6.4-inch and 6.9-inch options. The top-end model in the lineup, the Vivo X500 Pro Max, is said to be undergoing testing with upgraded camera technologies and enhanced display features.

Vivo X500 Pro Max Camera Features (Expected)

The Vivo X500 Pro Max is tipped to focus heavily on camera performance. It is said to feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor equipped with LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) technology. This sensor design is intended to better manage excess charge in bright lighting conditions by redirecting extra electrons to a separate capacitor. This could help improve dynamic range and reduce overexposure in high-light scenarios.

Additionally, the smartphone is expected to include a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, aimed at delivering improved long-range zoom capabilities. Vivo may also incorporate a multispectral sensor to enhance color reproduction and improve white balance accuracy.

The camera setup could further include a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, rounding out a versatile triple-camera system.

Vivo X500 Pro Max Specifications (Expected)

Previous reports suggest that the Vivo X500 Pro Max may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset. The device is also tipped to pack a large 7,000mAh battery, indicating a focus on extended battery life.

On the display front, the smartphone could feature a 2K LTPO flat panel with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. For security, an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is expected.

Launch Timeline (Expected)

The Vivo X500 series, including the Pro Max variant, is expected to launch in China around September this year. More details regarding global availability and pricing are yet to surface.
