BMW F 450 GS Launch Tomorrow; Expected Price To Start Around Rs 4.8 Lakh

The BMW F 450 GS is all set to be launched tomorrow and is already among the most awaited two-wheeler debuts of 2026. Built in India by TVS for BMW, this twin-cylinder adventure motorcycle aims to cater to enthusiasts who have long been waiting for a locally manufactured mid-capacity ADV.

For years, Indian riders have been demanding a twin-cylinder adventure bike that is made in India and priced competitively. The F 450 GS appears to be addressing that demand to a certain extent, especially with its expected pricing strategy.

With bookings now open, initial reports suggest that the motorcycle could be priced in the range of Rs 4.80 lakh to Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom). BMW is likely to introduce multiple variants including Basic, Exclusive, Sport and the top-spec GS Trophy. The Trophy variant is expected to stand out with features like tubeless wire-spoke wheels and the Easy Ride Clutch (ERC), making it more capable for serious adventure touring.

Given the spread of variants, the top-end version could command a significantly higher on-road price, potentially crossing Rs 6.5 lakh and even nearing the Rs 7 lakh mark depending on the configuration and location.

There have been discussions around BMW’s earlier pricing strategy with models like the BMW G 310 R, which was initially launched at a higher price before receiving revisions later. However, in the case of the F 450 GS, BMW is expected to position the bike more strategically right from the start.

This is largely because the platform will spawn more models in the future, including the upcoming BMW F 450 R and F 450 RR, which are expected to be positioned below the GS in terms of pricing. For instance, the roadster version could be priced noticeably lower than the adventure model.

Overall, the anticipation around the baby GS remains strong, and there is also a possibility that BMW could introduce an attractive introductory price at launch to further boost initial demand.
