Japanese automaker Honda has officially introduced the 2027 Honda CB300F Twister in the Brazilian market. Popular across Latin American regions, this lightweight streetfighter returns with updated styling, enhanced safety equipment, and advanced flex-fuel technology tailored for local demands.
Refreshed Design and Aggressive Styling
From an auto expert's perspective, Honda has preserved the core silhouette of the CB300F Twister while giving it key cosmetic upgrades for a sharper, more muscular road presence:
Muscular Fuel Tank: The highlight of the update is a redesigned fuel tank featuring sharper, more aggressive tank shrouds that give the motorcycle a heavier front-end profile.
Redesigned Lighting: The front headlight unit has been restyled while retaining a full-LED setup for better night visibility and modern looks.
Two Distinct Variants: The bike comes in standard ABS and an upgraded 'S' variant. The ABS trim is available in Red and Black, whereas the S variant boasts a multi-tone Blue paint scheme, sportier graphics, and a removable rear seat cowl.
Flex-Fuel Performance and Powertrain Specs
The standout highlight of the 2027 model is its ethanol-compatible powertrain, which is crucial for markets like Brazil where ethanol blending is widespread:
Engine: It is powered by a 293.5cc, single-cylinder, SOHC, oil-cooled engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch.
Power & Torque: On standard petrol, the motor develops 24.5 bhp and 25.6 Nm of torque. When running on ethanol, performance sees a slight boost, outputting 24.7 bhp and 26.2 Nm of peak torque.
Hardware, Electronics, and Safety Equipment
Honda has upgraded the componentry to ensure better control, security, and everyday convenience:
Suspension & Braking: Suspension duties are handled by USD (Up-Side Down) front forks, complemented by disc brakes at both wheels.
Rider Aids: Safety is reinforced with dual-channel ABS and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC)—Honda's traction control system that prevents rear-wheel slip on low-traction surfaces.
Technology & Security: It features a fully digital LCD instrument console, a Type-C USB charging port, and the Honda Ignition Security System (HISS), an engine immobilizer that prevents hot-wiring without a coded key.
Pricing and Potential India Launch
In Brazil, the 2027 Honda CB300F Twister starts at BRL 26,880 (approximately Rs. 4.93 lakh).
Regarding its availability in India: Honda initially launched the CB300F locally in 2022, but slow sales led to its eventual discontinuation. While Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has not officially confirmed plans to bring the 2027 model to the Indian market, this refreshed version could serve as a competitive entry if Honda re-evaluates the 250-300cc naked streetfighter segment.
