Xiaomi Pad 8 India Launch Confirmed for February 28 With 9,200 mAh Battery and Two Display Options

Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Xiaomi Pad 8 will launch in India on February 28, 2026, marking its entry into the country’s premium tablet lineup. The company has already activated a dedicated landing page and promotional teasers ahead of the launch, revealing several key specifications and features ahead of the event.

According to Xiaomi’s teasers and listings, the Pad 8 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, a powerful sub-flagship chipset designed to handle demanding apps, multitasking and creative work with ease. The tablet is confirmed to feature a massive 9,200 mAh battery as well, which the company says can deliver up to two days of typical usage on a single charge.

Two Display Variants for Different Needs

Ahead of its India debut, fresh details have emerged that the Xiaomi Pad 8 will be offered in two display options. One model will come with a standard screen, while the other will feature a Nano Texture Display that promises better anti-glare performance and reduced reflections — a design choice aimed at enhancing comfort during long viewing sessions or creative work.

The tablet is expected to sport an 11.2-inch 3.2K LCD panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate, similar to the version launched in China last year. This high-resolution panel is designed to deliver sharp visuals, smooth scrolling and excellent clarity for content-heavy tasks such as media playback and gaming.

Accessories and Productivity Features

Xiaomi’s promotional materials also highlight support for the Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro stylus and the Focus Keyboard accessory. The Focus Keyboard is expected to include adaptive backlit keys and a gesture-enabled touchpad, offering a laptop-like experience when paired with the tablet — potentially expanding its use for productivity and creative workflows.

What to Expect at Launch

The India launch event on February 28 at 6:30 PM IST will reveal full pricing, storage configurations and availability details for the Xiaomi Pad 8 lineup in the country. The tablet is set to debut alongside Xiaomi’s new Xiaomi 17 series smartphones, making the day a significant moment for the brand’s device portfolio.

With its powerful chipset, long-lasting battery, versatile display options and productivity-focused accessories, the Xiaomi Pad 8 is poised to compete strongly in India’s increasingly competitive tablet market.
