
Redmi 15A 5G
Xiaomi has officially introduced the Redmi 15A 5G in India, expanding its budget 5G smartphone lineup. The device brings a large display, long-lasting battery, and extended software support, making it a strong contender in the affordable segment.
The smartphone features a 6.9-inch display and runs on the latest Android version with Xiaomi’s custom interface, ensuring a smooth and updated user experience.
The Redmi 15A 5G starts at Rs 12,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The 4GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs 14,499, while the 6GB + 128GB variant costs Rs 16,499.
The phone will be available in Awesome Blue, Amaze Purple, and Ace Black color options. Sales will begin from April 3 via Mi.com, Flipkart, and offline retail stores across India.
The Redmi 15A 5G comes with a 6.9-inch HD+ display offering a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth scrolling and improved visual performance.
The display also offers up to 810 nits peak brightness, along with DC dimming and TÜV Rheinland certification for better eye comfort during extended usage.
Powering the device is the Unisoc T8300 octa-core processor built on a 6nm architecture, paired with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The smartphone supports up to 6GB RAM along with an additional 6GB virtual RAM for improved multitasking.
It comes with 64GB and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage options, expandable up to 1TB via microSD card, offering flexibility for users with high storage needs.
For photography, the Redmi 15A 5G features a 32MP primary rear camera along with a secondary sensor. On the front, it houses an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls.
The camera setup is designed to deliver decent performance for everyday photography and social media usage.
One of the key highlights of the Redmi 15A 5G is its massive 6300mAh battery, which supports 15W fast charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging. Xiaomi claims the battery can retain up to 80 percent health even after 1000 charge cycles.
The smartphone runs on Android 16 based Xiaomi HyperOS 3.0. Notably, the company promises 4 years of Android updates and 6 years of security updates, ensuring long-term usability.
Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, and IP52 rating for basic dust and splash resistance. Connectivity options include 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
