The Realme 16 arrives in two elegant colour options — Black Cloud and White Swan, offering users a stylish choice.
Realme has introduced its new Realme 16 5G smartphone in the global market with impressive specifications that focus on powerful performance, a long-lasting battery, and advanced display. The new device aims to offer a balanced experience for daily users, gamers, and multimedia lovers alike. This article highlights the key features, price details, and what makes the Realme 16 5G stand out.
The Realme 16 5G has been officially launched in Vietnam, and Realme may bring the device to other markets soon, including possibly India. The pricing starts at approximately VND 11,490,000 (around Rs. 40,000) for the 8GB + 256GB variant, while the 12GB + 256GB model is priced at around VND 12,490,000 (roughly Rs. 44,000). Realme has not yet confirmed the exact launch date or India pricing.
One of the key attractions of the Realme 16 5G is its 6.57-inch flexible AMOLED display. This screen delivers a Full HD+ resolution (1080×2372 pixels), up to 120Hz refresh rate, and excellent brightness levels for outdoor visibility. The high refresh rate ensures smooth scrolling and better gaming visuals, while the AMOLED panel enhances colour contrast and viewing angles.
Under the hood, the Realme 16 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset. This octa-core processor is designed to handle everyday tasks, multitasking, and moderate gaming smoothly. It is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which provides fast data access and plenty of space for apps and media.
The Realme 16 5G impresses with its 7,000mAh battery, which promises extended usage — often lasting more than a full day under regular usage conditions. It supports 60W wired fast charging, allowing quicker top-ups compared to slow charging solutions. The large battery capacity is ideal for long hours of video streaming, gaming, and all-day connectivity.
Photography enthusiasts get a reliable setup with the Realme 16 5G’s dual rear camera configuration. The primary sensor is a 50-megapixel wide lens with autofocus, supported by a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. On the front, the phone also sports a 50-megapixel selfie camera, perfect for sharp self-portraits and video chats. The camera system includes various shooting modes like Night, Portrait, Cinematic, Slow Motion, and Dual-View Video.
The phone runs Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0 on top, offering a user-friendly and customizable interface. In terms of connectivity, it supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and other standard wireless technologies. The device also includes an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and facial recognition for security.
Realme has ensured durability by providing multiple IP ratings (IP66, IP68, IP69, IP69K) for dust and water resistance. The phone weighs around 183 grams with a slim profile of 8.10mm thickness, making it comfortable to hold and use.
