OnePlus Nord 6 Launched in India with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and Massive 9,000mAh Battery: Details Inside

OnePlus officially expanded its mid-range portfolio in India on Tuesday with the launch of the OnePlus Nord 6. Positioning itself as a powerhouse in the sub-Rs. 40,000 segment, the device introduces significant hardware leaps over its predecessor, most notably in battery capacity and processing power. The Nord 6 is designed to bridge the gap between mid-range affordability and flagship-tier performance.

Price, Offers, and Availability

The OnePlus Nord 6 enters the Indian market with two storage configurations. The base 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 38,999, while the higher-end 12GB RAM + 256GB model carries a price tag of Rs. 41,999.

OnePlus has announced aggressive launch offers to sweeten the deal. Customers using Axis Bank credit cards for full payments can avail of a Rs. 2,000 discount, while EMI transactions via Axis and HDFC Bank cards attract a Rs. 3,000 discount. These offers effectively bring the starting price down to Rs. 35,999.

The device will be available in three distinct colorways—Fresh Mint, Pitch Black, and Quick Silver—starting April 9 at 12:00 PM (noon).

Display and Performance

The Nord 6 features a stunning 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel. Pushing the boundaries of fluid motion, it supports a 165Hz refresh rate and boasts a peak brightness of 3600 nits, ensuring visibility even under harsh sunlight. For eye safety, the screen incorporates 3840Hz PWM dimming and is protected by Crystal Guard glass.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, paired with an Adreno 825 GPU. Performance is further bolstered by LPDDR5X RAM and ultra-fast UFS 4.1 storage. To keep thermals in check during heavy gaming, OnePlus has integrated a massive 33,147mm² heat dissipation area.

Camera and Software

On the imaging front, the Nord 6 utilizes a dual-camera system on the rear:

  • Primary: 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor with OIS and EIS.
  • Ultra-wide: 8-megapixel OmniVision OV08F sensor (112-degree FOV).
  • Front: A 32-megapixel sensor dedicated to high-resolution selfies.

The device debuts with OxygenOS 16 (based on Android 16). In a significant commitment to longevity, OnePlus promises four major Android OS updates and six years of security patches, making it a future-proof investment for users.

Battery, Build, and “Plus Key”

The showstopper is undoubtedly the 9,000mAh Silicon Carbon battery—a massive jump from the Nord 5’s 6,800mAh unit. It supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging and, interestingly, 27W wired reverse charging to power up other gadgets.

The Nord 6 is built like a tank, featuring MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability and an unprecedented combination of IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, protecting it against high-pressure water jets and total immersion.

Additionally, OnePlus has introduced a physical “Plus Key,” allowing users to instantly send on-screen content to the Mind Space for better productivity. Connectivity is fully loaded with 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 6, and NavIC support.
