New iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Ultra metal dummy models
Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro lineup has surfaced in a fresh leak, revealing key design details of the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and a possible iPhone Ultra (or Fold model).
The leak comes via YouTube channel Max Tech’s Vadim Yuryev, who shared images of dummy units on X (formerly Twitter). These images suggest that while the overall design may remain largely similar to last year’s models, there could be one notable change.
According to the leak, the iPhone 18 Pro series may feature a noticeably thicker camera module. The “black glass” covering the camera area is said to protrude more compared to previous generations.
In terms of dimensions, the total thickness of the iPhone 17 Pro Max (including the camera plateau) was reportedly 11.23mm, which could increase to around 11.54mm on the iPhone 18 Pro Max. Additionally, the overall thickness with the camera bump may rise from 12.92mm to approximately 13.77mm.
Dummy units like these are typically created by accessory manufacturers using leaked CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files from supply chain partners, and are often used to prepare cases ahead of launch.
The iPhone 18 Pro series is also tipped to introduce a variable aperture system for the primary camera. This feature could allow users to control how much light enters the sensor, enabling better depth-of-field control and more natural background blur, similar to DSLR cameras.
In low-light conditions, this system could improve image quality by allowing more light into the sensor, resulting in brighter shots with better detail and reduced noise.
The leak also suggests that the new models could be heavier than their predecessors, possibly due to larger batteries. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is rumoured to pack the biggest battery ever in an iPhone, with a capacity estimated between 5,100mAh and 5,200mAh.

While these details provide an early look at what to expect, it is important to note that Apple has not officially confirmed any of these features. As with most leaks based on dummy units and CAD renders, the final design and specifications may differ at launch.
