HMD Crest 2 Pro
Smartphone brand HMD Global is expected to launch its upcoming device HMD Crest 2 Pro soon. While the company has not officially confirmed the smartphone yet, recent leaks have revealed several key specifications and design details. According to tipster @smashx_60 on X, the upcoming device’s specifications and design renders have surfaced, giving a clear idea of what to expect from this new addition to the Crest lineup.
As the name suggests, the HMD Crest 2 Pro will arrive as an upgraded version of the existing Crest series. The lineup already includes models like Crest and Crest Max, which are currently available in the market.
Based on the leaked renders, the upcoming phone is expected to retain a similar design language as the Crest series. It may feature a slightly thicker chin and a square-shaped camera module, indicating minimal design changes compared to its predecessors.
The HMD Crest 2 Pro is expected to feature a 6.78-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. This would be larger than the 6.67-inch display seen on the current Crest model.
The smartphone is also expected to support up to a 120Hz refresh rate, which is an upgrade over the 90Hz refresh rate available on the Crest and Crest Max models. This could result in smoother scrolling and an improved viewing experience.
For performance, the HMD Crest 2 Pro is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset. This processor is likely to handle everyday tasks such as calling, social media, and light multitasking efficiently.
Users can expect a smooth experience for daily usage with this chipset.
The device could bring a significant upgrade in terms of battery. Leaks suggest that the HMD Crest 2 Pro may pack a 6000mAh battery, which could be the largest battery seen on an HMD smartphone so far.
It is also expected to support 33W charging, which is considered decent for this price segment. The large battery may offer extended usage for users throughout the day.
In terms of optics, the HMD Crest 2 Pro is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup. This may include a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary lens, and a 2-megapixel additional camera.
For selfies and video calls, the smartphone is likely to offer a 50-megapixel front camera, which could be a strong highlight in this segment.
As of now, there is no official information regarding the launch date and pricing of the HMD Crest 2 Pro.
For reference, the Crest and Crest Max were launched at starting prices of ₹14,999 and ₹16,499, respectively. Based on this, the upcoming model could be positioned in a similar or slightly higher price range.
The HMD Crest 2 Pro appears to be a promising upgrade with improvements in display, battery, and camera. Features like a 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, 6000mAh battery, and 50MP selfie camera make it an interesting option in its segment.
