Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar 2 has taken the Indian box office by storm, delivering record-breaking numbers within just five days of its release. The spy-action thriller, directed by Aditya Dhar, has not only surpassed expectations but also left its predecessor Dhurandhar far behind. With massive collections and strong weekday performance, the sequel is proving to be one of the biggest blockbusters of recent times.
The original Dhurandhar performed impressively during its theatrical run. Within five days, it collected 159.4 crore net at the Indian box office. Despite facing pre-release negativity, the film managed to win over audiences with its strong content and gripping narrative. It also recorded one of the highest Tuesday collections in Bollywood at the time.
Dhurandhar 2, also known as Dhurandhar: The Revenge, has rewritten box office history. The film collected a massive 60 crore net on its first working Monday alone. Its total collection in the Hindi belt has already reached 503 crore net within five days.
Including all languages, the film has earned around ₹532.1 crore net, making it one of the fastest films to cross the ₹500 crore mark. It has already secured the status of a hit and is on track to achieve a superhit verdict soon. The sequel currently stands as the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2026 and the second-highest-grossing film of Ranveer Singh’s career.
When compared directly, Dhurandhar 2 has outperformed Dhurandhar by a huge margin. In just five days, the sequel is ahead by approximately ₹366.6 crore, marking a growth of nearly 215 percent.
One major factor behind this massive jump is the wider release strategy. While the original film was released only in Hindi, the sequel was released in five languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. However, even when considering only the Hindi collections, Dhurandhar 2 remains significantly ahead.
