Rumours surrounding the trailer launch of Dhurandhar 2 have been put to rest. Over the last few days, social media platforms were flooded with posts claiming that the much-awaited trailer of Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge would be unveiled on March 3, coinciding with the Holi celebrations. Fan pages even began countdowns, adding to the excitement. However, there was never any formal announcement from the production team.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh stepped in to clear the confusion. He publicly dismissed the claims, stating that the information circulating online was not backed by any official confirmation. According to him, the reports were speculative and should not be treated as verified news.
Adarsh also revealed that he contacted Jio Studios directly for clarification. The studio reportedly confirmed that no trailer release date has been finalized yet. They assured that an official announcement would be made once the team is ready to unveil the promotional material and advised fans to rely only on confirmed updates.
Earlier chatter had suggested a direct digital launch of the trailer between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM IST on March 3. Some reports even speculated that minor delays in final visual effects work could impact the release timing. However, as of now, no specific schedule has been locked in.
While the trailer date remains uncertain, the film is already showing strong traction internationally. Early tracking data from North America indicates promising momentum.
As per estimates shared by trade tracker Venky Box Office, the sequel has collected approximately $33,723 from advance bookings in the United States. Around 1,953 tickets have reportedly been sold across 209 scheduled shows in 151 locations. At this stage, the film is said to be significantly ahead of competing releases in terms of advance sales.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy action thriller serves as a direct continuation of the 2025 blockbuster. The sequel picks up immediately after the events of the first film and follows undercover Indian intelligence operative Jaskirat Singh Rangi, who operates under the alias Hamza Ali Mazari.
The film reportedly has a substantial runtime of over 208 minutes, aiming to provide a comprehensive conclusion to the high-stakes espionage narrative.
The ensemble cast includes Ranveer Singh in the lead role, alongside Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Akshaye Khanna, and Emraan Hashmi.
With its theatrical release scheduled for March 19, anticipation for Dhurandhar 2 continues to grow, even as fans await clarity on the trailer launch date.
