MG 4X Electric SUV Revealed With 53.95 kWh Battery and 510 km Range

MG Motor has unveiled a new electric SUV called the MG 4X Electric SUV ahead of its official global debut at the upcoming Auto China Show 2026 in Beijing. The newly revealed model is expected to strengthen MG’s growing electric vehicle lineup and may eventually replace the popular MG ZS EV in several markets.

In India, JSW MG Motor India has already built a strong presence in the electric vehicle segment, largely due to the success of the MG Windsor EV and the brand’s innovative Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) pricing strategy. However, other models like the MG Comet EV and the MG ZS EV have not achieved the same level of commercial success.

Reports suggest that MG may gradually replace both the ZS EV and the Astor with newer models by 2027, and the newly revealed MG 4X could be one of the candidates for that role.

The MG 4X Electric SUV is positioned as a compact electric crossover within MG’s global MG4 family. Dimensionally, the SUV measures:

At the front, the SUV features a distinctive fascia that includes:
