Jeep Meridian Track Edition Launched in India: New Styling and Features at Rs. 35.95 Lakh

Jeep India has officially expanded its flagship SUV lineup with the launch of the Jeep Meridian Track Edition. Priced at Rs. 35.95 lakh (ex-showroom), this new iteration is based on the top-tier Overland variant and brings a suite of aesthetic upgrades and functional enhancements to the seven-seater SUV.

The Track Edition is designed for buyers seeking a more rugged yet premium look, offering both 4×2 and 4×4 configurations.

Aesthetic Upgrades: Stealthy and Sophisticated

The Meridian Track Edition distinguishes itself from the standard model with several exclusive cosmetic touches:

  • Piano Black Accents: The front grille, exterior badges, and body mouldings are finished in high-gloss Piano Black.
  • Exclusive Grille: A “Dark Espresso” grille with Neutral Grey highlights gives the SUV a unique face.
  • Hood Decals & Insignia: It features a signature Track Edition hood decal and special Track Edition insignia to mark its identity.
  • Wheels: The SUV rides on stylish 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, enhancing its stance.

Interior & Comfort: New Sliding Row and Premium Theme

Jeep has focused on improving cabin flexibility and luxury for this edition:

  • Sliding Second Row: The biggest functional update is the introduction of a 140mm sliding second row, allowing passengers to adjust legroom or cargo space according to their needs.
  • Tupelo Theme: The cabin is draped in a sophisticated dual-tone Tupelo theme with premium suede inserts on the seats and door pads.
  • Leather-Wrapped Steering: The steering wheel is finished in high-quality Cortina leather with detailed contrast stitching, providing a better tactile feel.

Performance: Proven Diesel Power

Under the hood, the Jeep Meridian Track Edition remains mechanically identical to the standard model:

  • Engine: 2.0-litre Multijet diesel engine.
  • Power & Torque: 170 bhp and 350 Nm of torque.
  • Transmission: 9-speed automatic gearbox.
  • Drivetrain Options: Available with either a Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) or Jeep’s legendary 4×4 system for off-road enthusiasts.

Pricing and Variants

The Jeep Meridian Track Edition is available in two variants:

Track Edition AT (4×2)Rs. 35.95 Lakh
Track Edition AT (4×4)Rs. 37.82 Lakh

With its combination of a sliding second row for added practicality and a dark-themed exterior for a stealthier look, the Track Edition aims to attract SUV buyers who want a premium experience without compromising on Jeep’s off-road DNA. It continues to rival the like of the Toyota Fortuner and MG Gloster.
