The Heart of the Machine: A Specially Tuned TR-Series Engine
The headline of this launch remains the powertrain. With the Triumph Tracker 400 launched, the brand has introduced a refined version of its celebrated liquid-cooled TR-series engine. Displacing 350 cc, this single-cylinder DOHC motor is engineered to deliver a robust 40 PS of power at 8,750 rpm.
While it shares its DNA with the Thruxton 400, the Tracker 400’s engine mapping has been tweaked for a “snappy” throttle response. This ensures that the bike feels light and flickable in stop-and-go city traffic while maintaining enough top-end grunt for weekend highway sprints. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, featuring a torque-assist clutch that reduces lever effort, making long rides less tiring.
