2026 Maruti Brezza Facelift
Maruti Suzuki’s best-selling compact SUV, the Brezza, is all set for a major mid-life refresh. Recent spy shots of the 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift have surfaced online, revealing significant mechanical and functional changes that could redefine its position in the competitive sub-four-meter SUV segment.
From a new gearbox to a more premium cabin, here is everything we know about the upcoming 2026 Maruti Brezza.
The most striking revelation from the latest spy images is the presence of a 6-speed manual gearbox. Currently, the Brezza is offered with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
Why it matters:
While some enthusiasts are speculating about a turbo-petrol engine, it is more likely that Maruti will stick to the tried-and-tested 1.5-litre K15C naturally aspirated petrol engine, delivering 103 PS and 137 Nm of torque, optimized with the new gearbox.
Although the test mules are heavily camouflaged, several cosmetic updates are visible:
Maruti Suzuki is focusing heavily on making the Brezza’s cabin feel more premium. The facelifted version is expected to borrow features from its elder sibling, the Grand Vitara.
| Feature Category | Expected Updates |
| Infotainment | A larger 10-inch touchscreen system with a higher resolution. |
| Comfort | Ventilated front seats and new leatherette upholstery. |
| Technology | Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and improved connected car tech. |
| Safety | Speculation regarding a Level 2 ADAS suite is high. |
| Utilities | 360-degree camera, HUD (Head-Up Display), and a wireless charger. |
Another functional change being discussed is the implementation of an underbody CNG tank. Following the design philosophy of the upcoming Maruti Victoris, this setup would place the CNG cylinder beneath the floor, effectively freeing up the entire boot for luggage—a major pain point for current CNG SUV owners.
The 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift is expected to make its official debut in the first quarter of 2026.
As for pricing, with the addition of the 6-speed gearbox and premium features, expect a slight price hike. The current range starts at approximately Rs. 8.30 Lakh, while the new model could be priced between Rs. 8.90 Lakh and Rs. 14.50 Lakh (ex-showroom).
With these updates, Maruti Suzuki aims to maintain the Brezza’s dominance by offering a perfect blend of fuel efficiency, ruggedness, and modern-day technology.
