Apple’s much-anticipated iPhone 17e has surfaced again in fresh leaked renders, offering one of the clearest looks yet at its design and potential changes ahead of an expected launch later this month. The images, reportedly based on leaked CAD files, show a refined version of Apple’s upcoming budget-friendly smartphone that could debut as early as February 19, 2026.
According to the leak, the biggest design shift for the iPhone 17e is the introduction of Dynamic Island at the top of the screen, replacing the older notch design seen on the iPhone 16e. This change aligns the phone’s front design with Apple’s higher-end models and brings new interactive features. The handset retains a familiar silhouette with flat metal edges, a metal frame, and a single rear camera configuration similar to its predecessor.
The renders also show that Apple might introduce new colour options, including a striking lavender shade alongside classic black and white finishes. The overall look remains sleek and minimal, with thin bezels around the display.
Under the hood, the iPhone 17e is expected to be powered by Apple’s A19 chip, the same silicon used in the standard iPhone 17, which could deliver a significant performance boost compared to the iPhone 16e. The device may also include MagSafe wireless charging support, a feature not available on the current 16e model, and use Apple’s latest C1X cellular modem and N1 chip for improved connectivity.
On the photography front, the iPhone 17e is tipped to carry over a 48-megapixel Fusion camera on the back, capable of capturing both 24MP and 48MP shots with features like Portrait mode and Dolby Vision video recording up to 4K at 60 fps. Despite these upgrades, the display is likely to remain a 6.1-inch panel with a 60 Hz refresh rate, consistent with the previous model.
Price expectations suggest Apple might keep the starting price similar to the iPhone 16e, around $699 (roughly ₹59,900 in India), which would keep the 17e competitive in the mid-range segment.
As always with leaks, these details haven’t been officially confirmed by Apple, but if accurate, the iPhone 17e could offer users a more modern design and improved features while staying within a relatively affordable price bracket for Apple devices.
